Hokie Culture Crawl
Do the Crawl!
Why do the Hokie Culture Crawl?
- Will you do it for the competition - to be the first 200 to get all the stamps and earn an exclusive 2024 Culture Crawl T-Shirt?
- Will you do it to celebrate different cultures by enjoying new foods, activities, and games?
- Will you do it to discover more ways to get involved in intercultural opportunities on campus?
Maybe it's all of the above! You decide.
Start at Information Booth A in the Squires Student center between 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. (Note that the start table closes before the event ends at 7 p.m.).
At the start table, you'll pick up your passport and map. Then, check out as many of the stops on the Culture Crawl as you'd like, in whatever order you'd like.
Each participating center/office will hold a mini-open house to highlight its mission and services. You'll enjoy a cultural food, activity, or game and get a stamp on your Culture Crawl passport. Each stamp gets you closer to earning the exclusive 2024 Hokie Crawl T-Shirt.
When you're finished, head to the Cranwell International Center to swap your completed passport for the exclusive t-shirt! Then, stick around for the Multilingual Open Mic Night (you don't have to speak another language to enjoy and celebrate artistic expression from around the world.)
Part of International Education Week is recongizing and celebrating the value of different cultures. The Hokie Culture Crawl is not only an opportunity to do this in an interactive, social, and tasty way. It's also a chance to get familiar with the intercultural opportunities available all year.
